Construction officially starts today on highway 49 from the I-80 interchange in Auburn to Bell Road. This week there will be day time activity 6AM to 4PM as signage is installed. I-80 will have intermittent lane closures from Sierra College Blvd to the Penryn Overpass each night Sunday through Thursday 8PM to 6AM for resurfacing of the interstate.
