The Sacramento City Council voted approval to delete an ordinance that banned aggressive panhandling in the city after a federal judge ordered the city to stop enforcing in July. The judgement was a result of a law suite against the city by the ACLU claiming it violated free speech rights. City officials said a new ordinance dealing with the panhandling problem is in the works.
